Fall, or Autumn (which I prefer ;), is my favorite time of year. I love being able to wear warm sweaters, comfy boots, cute scarves, drinking Pumpkin Spice Latte's from Starbucks (by the way, this is the nectar of Heaven to me), and putting up all my fall decorations. Growing up, my Mom's favorite season was the Autumn, which is where my name came from actually, and every year when the change in the weather came about, her and I would get the boxes of Autumn decor from the garage and prance around the house setting everything up. Wreaths on the front door, cute little scarecrows lining the mantel, yummy smelling candles all lite up, and gearing up for all the baking that comes with this season. Such fun memories! Now that I live on my own, I have purchased some of my own Autumn decorations and I am so anxious to put them up. Every time I walk into a store with seasonal decor up, it's very hard for me to resist buying something...but so far so good ;)
Living in Colorado has made the Autumn season so much more real and fun, not to mention the breeze is a little more crisper than in Palmdale, CA. James and I love to take drives to find the Aspen trees and see how gorgeous the changing of the leaves are. Although I'm really not ready for what comes after the Autumn, I am going to enjoy the changing of the season now, get all my sweaters out, save money for a new pair of boots, and wait anxiously to get all the decor out of storage.
