I can feel it in my bones

I woke up this morning to a crisp breeze whirling around in my room. While snuggling under my covers, with just my face popping out, breathing in the coolness, I thought to myself, "I think my favorite time of year is right around the corner. Yay!"

Fall, or Autumn (which I prefer ;), is my favorite time of year. I love being able to wear warm sweaters, comfy boots, cute scarves, drinking Pumpkin Spice Latte's from Starbucks (by the way, this is the nectar of Heaven to me), and putting up all my fall decorations. Growing up, my Mom's favorite season was the Autumn, which is where my name came from actually, and every year when the change in the weather came about, her and I would get the boxes of Autumn decor from the garage and prance around the house setting everything up. Wreaths on the front door, cute little scarecrows lining the mantel, yummy smelling candles all lite up, and gearing up for all the baking that comes with this season. Such fun memories! Now that I live on my own, I have purchased some of my own Autumn decorations and I am so anxious to put them up. Every time I walk into a store with seasonal decor up, it's very hard for me to resist buying something...but so far so good ;)

Living in Colorado has made the Autumn season so much more real and fun, not to mention the breeze is a little more crisper than in Palmdale, CA. James and I love to take drives to find the Aspen trees and see how gorgeous the changing of the leaves are. Although I'm really not ready for what comes after the Autumn, I am going to enjoy the changing of the season now, get all my sweaters out, save money for a new pair of boots, and wait anxiously to get all the decor out of storage.

But what about "Reminiscing With A Young Girl"?

So, as most of you know, I have a blog titled "Reminiscing With A Young Girl" that I started over a year ago, but haven't been too consistent when it comes to writing on it. I think life just got too busy and blogging was not the first thing on my mind. Ya know, that whole school, staying up late studying (for Math...ugh), not sleeping because I have too much to do, oh yeah... add in family, a Mom who isn't thinking clearly right now, an 18 year old brother that can be somewhat of a trouble maker, a Dad that lives states away, work, friends, and yes, my wonderful James. Phew! Blogging just wasn't on my priority list.

But now, I have entered into a NEW season of life and I think because it's a new season, not to mention an exciting season, a new blog was in order. I felt that "Reminiscing With A Young Girl" was very heavy; it had a lot of pain attached to my writings. The pain of my Mom leaving, what my family was going through, James and I's break up, and what I was going through personally through it all (although there is a lot more than what I wrote about) were all apart of it. But please, don't get me wrong, those writings will forever be apart of my heart and you are more than welcome to go read them, but now that life seems to have settled (for the most part) and I'm in a new season of life, it's time for a new blog!

So...here's to a new season, a new blog, a new found love between James and I, and a deeper love for my amazing Creator!

I'm excited for you to Come Away With Me.....
